Flinging us back to the mid 1990’s, Corona’s dancefloor favorite Rhythm of the Night is revived in the first of five high-energy tracks from Uptown Dream, the latest EP brought to you by the JBW young blood, Swisha. Consistently catchy, these sounds are set to keep you moving this weekend and every weekend after that.
With a track for every mood, it’s going to be hard to pick a favorite but if a choice had to be made then Never Letting GoOoOo would have to be at the top of the list. So much feeling in this one. It’s radiant and energetic and the minimal approach always pays off when it comes to the juke sound. There’s variety, quality and all things sweet throughout the entire EP but while you want to keep dancing through most of it, Whoa Yeah ft. Dante delivers some cruisy sunday kind of vibes too.
While the second version of the title track sits neatly at the end, it definitely stands out on it’s own. Kush Jones jumps in on this one and it’s not hard to tell. Smooth melody, intense beat all supported by soulful vocals, it’s a good way to finish out the EP and keeps us wanting more.
Again, it’s hard to pick just one but now we urge you to go out and take the time to get your hit of Swisha’s latest works and decide for yourselves.
