Most of us know that building backlinks is important. But what most of us don’t know are simple ways to do it. I have to confess, when I first started online, I always knew I needed backlinks. But getting them seemed like something only SEO gurus knew how to do.
Well, a few years later I’ve cracked the code for some of the easiest and fastest ways to create backlinks and drive traffic to your blog or website.
And that’s an important point. In any case, while you are building your backlinks, it is nice to get traffic as well. It’s better to wait for Google to find you and rank you decently backlinks for a well-searched keyword phrase or term.
So here are the 3 easy ways to get backlinks to your website and generate free traffic. 1) Leave
blog comments on other people’s blogs
This is one of the simplest strategies you can use. I once had a person do this full time for one of my sites and I quickly became a PR4 site, getting hundreds of unique visitors every day.
But if you do, let me tell you a little secret. Make sure you target “DOFOLLOW” links. let me explain.
Many websites are coded so that all links pointing to it have a tag telling the search engines not to count that link as a “real” backlink. It basically says, “Yes, we linked them, but they don’t deserve it”.
The search engine doesn’t give you that much credit for these types of links. So the answer is to look for “DOFOLLOW” blogs that allow comments.
And how do you like them? Easy. A website already exists that you can use now to find these blogs. The site is called DoFollow Diver. DoFollow Diver lets you search for blogs that count as backlinks for you. That’s great. And it’s free. So you really can’t beat it. A good method is to find 5 websites every day and leave comments.
It shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes. And the more you do it, the better you’ll get at it. You can also outsource this to someone else. Maybe even a neighbor’s child or your own child.
So, to build backlinks and get traffic. Just search for topics related to your website or blog and leave a comment. Make sure it’s a good comment. If you want to get a little sneaky, you can type your keyword phrase in the name field instead of leaving your name.
And Viola, you created a backlink pointing to your website. Now keep it up!
2) Leverage traffic from YouTube with your own link to someone else’s video.
That ‘s something I just heard about and I’m definitely going to attend. All you have to do is search for recent YouTube videos that get a lot of views.
Usually these are movie trailers, songs with lyrics attached, etc. You can also search for videos related to your website or blog.
You’re looking for a few important things:
a) No link in the description
b) At least 50,000 hits so far
c) Traffic is steadily increasing
d) How relative is the video to your website*
This can all be seen immediately when you find the YouTube video. Once you find a video, simply contact the person who posted the video online.
Let them know you want to pay them money to include a link in their description. Some won’t, but many will. And before you think you have a ton of money to spend, think again.
In the examples I’ve seen so far, people have paid around $20 to get a link. This is a good backlink and as traffic increases you should see a steady increase in visitors.
* This type of traffic is best for broad offers like “make money”, “weight loss”, etc.
3) Ezine Marketing – People with a list have your website (and you!) promoting your website
Did you know there are tens of thousands? ezines on all sorts of topics. Many are about your niche, website or blog. If you’re not familiar with an ezine, it’s just an online newsletter about a specific niche or topic. The equivalent of an online magazine.
All you have to do is find them and offer to provide them with free content e.g. For example, an article or video that teaches something you know.
Often the people who run these ezines are hungry for content and will happily accept your article. What they get is content for their list, and what you get is your website exposed to potentially thousands of people.
