Markha Valley Trek
Markha Valley Trek is a great way to discover the hidden treasures of Ladakh. The trekking route passes through the villages of Markha and Sumdo, which are located in the north-eastern part of the Ladakh district. It offers you a chance to see different cultures and traditions that have existed in this part of India for centuries. This trip will allow you to see some beautiful landscapes such as snow-capped mountains, rushing rivers, valleys filled with flowers and animals grazing on grassy fields.
Sham Valley Trek
The Sham Valley Trek is a moderate one, and it’s best done between May and October. The trek starts from Pangong Tso (meaning “white lake”) and ends at Tso Moriri. It takes about 5 hours to complete, but you can do it in one day if you’re feeling up to it!
It’s an easy walk through beautiful valleys with high-altitude meadows of wildflowers and hummingbirds. You’ll see some spectacular views of the Great Himalayas, which include Mount Kailash, Mount Kangchenjunga, and Gangapurna.
The journey will also take you past many ancient monasteries built by Tibetan Buddhists during their exile from Tibet. There are several important ones along the route that dates back over 1,000 years old.
The Sham Valley Trek is worth doing if you want some time away from the crowds of Leh and want to experience something different from your usual sightseeing options.
Zanskar Valley Trek
Zanskar Valley is one of the most enchanting and beautiful places in Ladakh. The valley is remote and isolated, making it one of the most popular treks for travellers to do in Ladakh.
Zanskar Valley lies at an altitude of more than 4500 m above sea level, making it a perfect example of a high-altitude trekking destination. The best time to visit this region would be during winters as temperatures drop down drastically during summers which makes travelling through this part even more enjoyable!
The Zanskar Valley Trek starts from Leh town where you can hire an SUV or jeep vehicle if needed (around Rs 3000 per day). From there we drove towards Tanglang La Pass at around 6000 m above sea level where we spent our first night before continuing towards Thangla Pass at 6800 meters above sea level where there are many campsites available with basic facilities like toilets/showers etcetera
Chadar Trek
Chadar Trek is a popular trek that is done in the winter season. It is one of the most exhilarating treks in Ladakh and it has been rated as one of the best treks to do in Ladakh. This trek starts from Leh and ends up at Kargil, where you can see breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, glaciers and valleys along with rich flora and fauna.
This trek involves crossing through some high passes on an icy riverbed where no bridges or trails are leading to another side of it (as most people don’t know this fact). It also crosses through some steep slopes which might require some climbing skills if you do not have them yet!
Likir Monastery Trek
Likir is a village in Ladakh, India. It is famous for its monastery, which is a popular tourist destination. The monastery was built by Lama Je Khenpo Ngawang Namgyal Rinpoche (1915-1992) and has been renovated and extended several times since then by his disciples and successors. The main building contains many large thangkas (religious paintings) and statues of deities such as Buddha Shakyamuni or Padmasambhava. There are also thousands of smaller thangkas inside each room that depict different aspects of Buddhism or Hinduism depending on where they were created; they depict everything from planets to tea leaves! If you’re looking for something unique while exploring this area then look no further than Likir Monastery Trek because it offers both peace & quietness combined with amazing views across beautiful valleys filled with wildflowers!
