JukeTown: A Foot Forward

We are now in 2016 and it’s high time we had a way to interact with our music peers on a level other than just social media. For those who cherish the juke sound and the footwork flex then Juke Town might be right up your alley. The new and highly interactive video game was made for the community in which Juke/Footwork flows and grows, bringing us a new way to connect to the art and to each other.

Current features include choosing from four character roles - Footworker, Producer, DJ or Citizen. You will be able to host events, own businesses, participate in footwork battles and even earn “Juke bucks” in the process. Allowing you to save up and buy music, merchandise, bet on battles and so much more. Another aspect of this game is the unification of dancers, DJs and producers alike. For those who don’t fit into any of those categories, Juke Town will be a new world to explore, but for those of us who are looking for a fresh way to absorb the culture, be sure to pre-order your copy now.

To take it one step further, the creators are looking for producers to contribute their work to the game’s soundtrack, making it an exclusive opportunity for those who act quickly. With a “no sample” rule, Juke Town will be hosting a stack of original sounds from some of your favorite producers and some who are yet to make a name for themselves….but what a way to do it.

Created and developed by Hemiogenic Studios founder Akeem Pennicooke, this particular project takes on a new genre of video game, rich in music, dance and street culture. This game will represent a world that most have no idea even exists. But, for those with an appetite for juke/footwork culture, this game will bring a whole new way of interacting with the community as it continues to build through worldwide entertainment and social media each day.

Set to be released in Fall 2017, Juke Town will need your support. Be sure to head to the links below for more information and other ways to contribute to this bangin’ project. Also, any final track submissions must be made by October 13, 2016. Click on the link below to see submission requirements, rules and benefits. Go ahead, show em what you got.
