REVIEW: DJ Ends ‘Baebie’ EP

The latest release from NIDALI Records comes from Munich’s own DJ ENDS with his fresh EP - Baebie. Bringing forth a new wave of flavor to the footwork scene, each beat has it’s own story including some of that battle style goodness just for the footworkers. Make sure to pick up a copy from the Juno DL link below.

Baebie - A nice soulful start, the vocals will have you singing along in no time, accompanied by a slight retro sound carrying through to a mellow theme that breaks into an infectious flute melody. The underlying beat drops into a chill breakdown for the footwork feel, holding a chill vibe to kick off the Ep.

D.O.P.E Boy - Kicking it up a notch, this track includes a kind of 80’s game show vibe using an upbeat synth melody and a killer rap vocal sample laid over top. The repetitive sample running parallel to the high hat rhythm brings the footwork feel right back for the dancers. It could be considered less intricate but definitely a dank beat.

Without - Taking a bit of a darker turn, this track brings us to the early hours of the morning, waking us from our club daze. Fun but solemn, this complex beat, layered droning chord along with more of a juke vibe in between creates a hype dance track for the clubbers.

Just a Freek - Back to the circle now, DJ Ends picks up his battle game with the pulsy synths and a hip hop feel. Another simple but effective track that won’t quit. Steady claps, more soul samples and a sexy footwork breakdown is all you need to put this one on repeat, definitely a stand out track on the Ep.
