Connect to Xfinity’s Coaxial Cable

After a few seconds, a light should appear on your Xfinity gateway indicating that it’s powered on. If it doesn’t automatically turn on, try pressing the power button.
Boot Up
Your Xfinity gateway will need to boot up before it can connect to the rest of your home network. This process will take a few minutes.
Once your gateway has booted up, you can use it to access Xfinity’s Internet and Voice service. It also comes with Advanced Security to help keep your home network safe.

Configure Your Network
Once your Xfinity Gateway is activated, it’s time to configure your network. This includes connecting devices to the router, setting up WiFi and port forwarding.
First, you’ll need to use the Xfinity app to log into your gateway. It’s available on Apple and Android devices.
You’ll need to sign in using your Xfinity ID and password. If you don’t know your Xfinity ID, you can call customer service to get it.
The Xfinity app lets you manage your 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi settings (like WiFi Mode, Channel and Channel Width). It also allows you to add or adjust Port Forwarding.
You can also change your network name or SSID and update the firmware. Changing these settings can help keep your network secure and make it easier to connect your devices.
